How To Become A Catholic

is a Ministry is for the unbaptized (Catechumen) — those who wish to convert to Catholicism — and for those who seek to complete their initiation into the Catholic Church.
The process for individuals seeking full communion into the faith – Catechumens/ Candidates – is to meet with an RCIA Core Team, weekly, on Sunday mornings, for about a year. Together, they celebrate the Liturgy of the Word at the 9:15 Sunday Mass, followed by faith sharing, prayer and preparation for initiation into the Catholic Church. They segue to the comfort of the Parish Center, until about 11:45am, to further discuss the practices and teachings of the Catholic faith and to share their love and belief in Jesus Christ as our Savior.
The culmination of RCIA is the Catechumens’/ Candidates’ reception of the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil.
If you are interested in learning about full communion into the Catholic Faith, please contact CAROL ORLANDO, Pastoral Associate, who heads the RCIA Ministry, at or 973.239.7960.
