Three lay, parishioner-directed Councils play a critical role in the life of our Parish and provide our Pastor, Monsignor Slipe, with important advice and counsel to assist him in his position as head of St. Catherine of Siena Parish. These Councils are our SCS:
PASTORAL COUNCIL, which advances our Parish Mission, sets our Vision, and discerns and facilitates Strategic Plans to translate our Vision into reality. The Pastoral Council also liaisons with all our individual Parish Ministries through the Combined Council of Ministries, comprised of the Ministry Leaders of all our individual Parish Ministries.
FINANCE COUNCIL, which advises the Pastor on the Financial Operation of the Parish, prepares and submits the Parish Budget to the Archdiocese of Newark, and monitors our Financial Performance against that Budget.
STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL, which advances discipleship as a way of life by developing and implementing initiatives to promote awareness and understanding of Stewardship, and by providing appropriate, meaningful avenues for parishioners to share their Time, Talent and Treasure, as disciples of Christ and active members of our SCS faith family.
