The History of the Stained Glass Windows of St Catherine's
The stained glass windows of St Catherine's were made by Hiemer and Company of Clifton, New Jersey. The parish history tells us the windows were designed by Simon Berasaluce. Records show they were manufactured in 1952.
Each of the large windows in the Church represent a Mystery of the Rosary.
The windows on the east side of the church (on your left as you face the altar) are of the Joyful Mysteries. The windows on the west side of the church (on your right) are of the Glorious Mysteries.
Other windows in the church depict 'Christ the Priest', 'Melchisdech', the 'Baptism of Christ',
and 'St Patrick Baptizing.'
Above the entrance of the church is a rose window. Historical documents indicate that it displays the symbols of the Twelve Apostles.
Each of the windows was donated by a member or a family of the parish. The name(s) of the donors are included in a panel at the bottom of the window. Where possible we have included information on the donor. Information on the other donors is welcome. Please contact the rectory.
